Endowments

Endowments provide long-term financial stability and expand access to Christ-centered education, allowing donors to leave a lasting legacy on areas that matter to them most.

A Heritage of Faith and Excellence

Endowments provide long-term financial stability and expand access to excellent Christ-centered education. These tax-deductible gifts are placed in an investment account for Covenant Day School, and the returns support designated purposes—most commonly, scholarships for families who demonstrate financial need and meet specific criteria. Because many endowed funds are established with a particular mission in mind, they allow donors to leave a lasting legacy on areas they deeply value while helping ensure the school can support students and programs for generations to come. Watch the video to see how an endowment made a Covenant Day School education possible for a recent graduate.

CONTACT US ABOUT ENDOWMENTS

Why do we give to CDS? Quite simply, we believe in the mission of CDS. We see the 'end products' in our adult children every day, and we are interested in helping others receive the same blessings we are experiencing.

2025 H. Brent McKnight Justice and Mercy Oratory Contest

The H. Brent McKnight Justice and Mercy Oratory Contest honors the late U.S. District Judge H. Brent McKnight and his legacy. Judge McKnight, whose three children graduated from Covenant Day, highly valued the ability of young people to articulate what they believe. The biblical teachings of justice, mercy, and humility were foundational to his character and work as a judge. Thus, Covenant Day School formed the Justice and Mercy Oratory Contest in his memory. The McKnight Endowment supports this special annual tradition.
