Community Heroes

Community Heroes began in 1999 as a school appreciation outreach to the town of Matthews police, fire, and EMS personnel. Over the years Community Heroes has grown to include all first responders and military personnel from the greater Charlotte metro region and beyond. Each class at Covenant Day adopts a Community Hero for prayer and encouragement throughout the school year. Teachers, students, and families send goodies and notes each month letting the heroes know someone is praying for and caring for them.
