The Lions

Covenant Day athletics provides a setting for developing and exercising personal character, sportsmanship, self-discipline, leadership, and athletic ability. We field more than 30 teams in 14 different sports. Our coaches are committed to excellence and serve as spiritual mentors to our students.

Phase 1 of Legacy included Covenant Day’s new high school facility, a fitness center, and a lower school playground.

Athletics Roster

Paul Hatcher - Head Coach | EMAIL

Coach Hatcher is a native of Chattanogga, TN. He has been an avid golfer since the age of 5, and played golf for three years on his middle school golf team. Hatcher is part of the 2017 Golf Week Charlotte AM Tour, and has a 4.2 handicap. He holds a bachelor's degree in nutrition from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor's in nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. He currently works as a nurse at the Novant Health emergency department in Matthews. Hatcher has two years of previous coaching experience in Tennessee and joined the CDS coaching staff in 2017.
