Varsity Volleyball
Team Overview
We aim to develop young people into adults who can be salt and light. The best way we can contribute to the development of our student-athletes is by modeling what we value and how we treat each other. There are so many things in sports that reveal or expose our best and our worst. Being a part of a team is a great way to deal with those things, talk about them, and work on them.
Our program-wide theme is commUNITY. We use this theme to address spiritual, team, and personal growth.

Conference
Varsity Volleyball competes in the Charlotte Independent School Athletic Association (CISAA), which includes Cannon School, Charlotte Christian, Charlotte Country Day, Charlotte Latin, and Providence Day. At the state level, Varsity Volleyball competes in the North Carolina Independent School Athletic Association (NCISAA). We are a Division 4A school.

Started coaching at CDS: 2003
Volleyball Experience: I played volleyball for four years in college, and I began coaching in 1993.
Favorite CDS Sports Memory: The state championship match against NRCA in our gym. We were down by 2, came back, and tied it up. Although we lost in the 5th set, it's still a favorite memory with a very special and talented team.
Hobbies: I enjoy traveling, reading, and coaching.
Fun Fact: When I first came to Covenant Day, I was an assistant coach to Mr. Helmer, our current Head of School.
