Jordan Langs Named Head Coach of CDS Varsity Football

Jordan Langs has been named the Head Coach of the Covenant Day Varsity Football program.

Coach Langs brings more than a decade of college coaching experience to our football program and, even more importantly, a deep commitment to Christ-centered leadership and the development of young men on and off the field.

He most recently served at Iowa State University as the running backs coach and special teams coordinator, helping lead the Cyclones to a Liberty Bowl appearance and one of the top turnarounds in the nation. His units produced multiple All-Big 12 performers and a True Freshman All-American.

Before his time at Iowa State, Coach Langs was the founding head coach at Indiana Wesleyan University from 2016 to 2022. Tasked with building the program from the ground up, he established IWU as one of the nation's premier Christian programs. IWU advanced to the NAIA National Semifinals, earned top-five national rankings, and produced eight All-Americans, 89 all-academic selections, and more than 60 all-conference awards. He was named MSFA Mideast Coach of the Year twice.

Prior to IWU, Coach Langs spent five seasons coaching at his alma mater, Wheaton College, where he began his coaching career mentoring the Thunder defensive backs. As defensive coordinator from 2014 to 2016, he helped lead Wheaton to a 33–4 record, consecutive conference championships, and back-to-back undefeated regular seasons.

Jordan and his wife, Lindsay, an assistant teacher in the lower school, have four children, all of whom attend Covenant Day. Coach Langs shared, “We are so grateful to start this new chapter as a family! Covenant Day stands out as a place to pursue your best spiritually, academically, and athletically, and we are excited to help continue that legacy.”
