Covenant Day Athletics
75% OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS PLAY AT LEAST ONE SPORT
Athletics is an integral part of our mission at Covenant Day. When Jesus saves us, he saves every part of us. Athletics is a good work from the Lord that a biblical worldview teaches us to redeem for his glory. When we give our best efforts, knowing our salvation is secure in Christ, that honors God and gives Him the glory and weight He deserves.
- John Yasenchok, Cross Country Head Coach
The primary goal of athletics at Covenant Day is to help students learn how to honor Christ through physical fitness while developing their God-given physical abilities. From physical education classes to after-school clubs and team sports, there are many ways for students to get involved with athletics at CDS.
Since the inception of our high school in 2006, Covenant Day teams have earned more than 26 state championship appearances and have seen more than 140 graduates compete at the collegiate level in various sports. Watch the video below for a look at the field hockey NCISAA state championship!
