International Program

Covenant Day’s International Program welcomes high school students from around the world. Students get the opportunity to live with host families during the school year as they learn more about American culture through their experiences at Covenant Day whether inside the classroom, on an athletic field, in the Lions Theater, building tiny homes through ContainIt or through extracurricular opportunities. The program  has ADMITTED students from Haiti, France, Germany, China, Ethiopia, and Nigeria.

Covenant Day offers a comprehensive ELL program, personalized college counseling, and caring host families to its international students. Students benefit from a safe learning environment where they can excel academically, explore extracurricular interests, develop friendships, and prepare for success in a university setting after graduation.

Covenant Day's Mosaic Multicultural Club hosts events for students to learn about cultures from around the world and what makes each one unique. This year's events included a Chinese New Year Celebration and International Week which featured Taste of the World. Students have had the opportunity to explore attractions in Charlotte including the iCuba and Genghis Kahn Exhibits at Discovery Place Science and the Chinese Lantern Festival at Daniel Stow Botanical Garden, as well as volunteer with local nonprofits.
