About Us

Christ Covenant Church, along with a small group of men and women, was dedicated to the belief that both the heart and the mind of children are to be instructed by the Word of God. It was with only ten paid teachers, a handful of volunteers, and 149 students in grades K-5 that Covenant Day opened its doors in 1989. More than two decades later, Covenant Day is continuing to benefit from the support and sacrifices of those pioneering parents. Covenant Day has grown to include over 1,000 students, built two high school buildings, developed Warner Park Athletic Fields, created a strong financial aid program, established an internationally recognized aquaponics program, and more. 

In 1991, Covenant Day expanded its mission to cultivate both the hearts and minds of students by establishing the Wilcox C Building, the school's first dedicated middle school facility. Just eight years later, the first development at Warner Park marked a new chapter in Covenant Day's commitment to athletics and community. Named in memory of Anne Warner, Covenant Day's first athletic director, Warner Park remains a tribute to her legacy and to the vision of a school that continues to grow and flourish.

In 2000, the Wilcox C Building grew to include the Lions Theater, providing a dedicated space for students to explore and develop their gifts in the arts. Four years later, the tennis courts were constructed, expanding opportunities for student-athletes and enhancing the school's athletic facilities. Covenant Day continued to grow and reached another significant milestone in 2005 with the opening of the first high school, housed in what is now the current middle school building. This is a reflection of the school's steady growth and enduring commitment to Christ-centered education. 

In 2011, Covenant Day continued to invest in spaces that support both learning and community by expanding the Wilcox C Building to include an addition to the Fireplace Room and the Academic Resources suite. That same year, Warner Park saw several updates, including the development of baseball, soccer, and practice fields, as well as the addition of a pavilion at the tennis courts. In 2013, the first Butterfly Garden was planted behind the A Building, offering students a unique opportunity to engage in experiential learning and service. Through hands-on involvement in the garden's care and upkeep, students participate in meaningful work that connects science, stewardship, and community impact. Then, in 2016, Covenant Day opened the current high school building and installed new playground equipment for the lower school.

In 2024, Covenant Day celebrated the opening of Covenant Field/Davis Track, a multi-use space designed to support the physical, social, and athletic development of students. The new field provides middle school students with a dedicated outdoor play area, expanded options for outdoor PE classes, and a long-awaited practice space for the school's track and field teams. In 2025, construction began on a new worship and choir room addition to the Wilcox C Building, further investing in spaces that nurture students' spiritual formation and creative expression. These developments reflect Covenant Day's continued commitment to creating environments where students can grow, move, worship, and thrive together.

In 2025, Covenant Day launched Phase 1 of the Forever Covenant campaign with the development of Warner Park, an intentional step toward providing athletic facilities that support current students and foster community while laying a foundation for future generations. The vision behind Forever Covenant echoes the heart of Covenant Day's original founders, men and women who believed deeply that both the heart and mind of a child should be shaped by the truth of God's Word. Decades later, that vision continues to guide every step forward, as the school remains rooted in the vision of transforming hearts and minds for the glory of Jesus Christ.
