Covenant Day is a TK-12 Christ-centered college preparatory school located in Matthews, NC. Covenant Day is a ministry of Christ Covenant Church (PCA) and serves approximately 1,030 students.
A Great Vision
Christ Covenant Church, along with a small group of men and women, was dedicated to the belief that both the heart and the mind of children are to be instructed by the Word of God. It was with only ten paid teachers, a handful of volunteers, and 149 students in grades K-5 that Covenant Day opened its doors in 1989. More than two decades later, Covenant Day is continuing to benefit from the support and sacrifices of those pioneering parents. Covenant Day has grown to include approximately 1,000 students, built two high school buildings, developed Warner Park Athletic Fields, created a strong financial aid program, established an internationally recognized aquaponics program, and more.

Our Students
Our students benefit from small classes, community involvement, competitive sports, quality fine arts, and co-curricular opportunities. They are engaged in activities that develop problem-solving skills to support sustainable environments and communities both locally and globally. Our students are taught by a faculty of godly professionals who work collaboratively across the curriculum. They seek to ignite a hunger for learning in their students, helping them to recognize the gifts and skills that God has provided for their lives.
