media center
The library media program at Covenant Day School is designed to assist students to become independent, life-long learners. The program supports, complements, and enhances the educational program of the school.
The Covenant Day School Library Media Center (LMC) serves students in TK through 12th grades in two separate facilities. The TK-8 LMC is located on the lower school/middle school campus while students in grades 9-12 have access to the LMC in the high school building.
The LMC is dedicated to providing relevant resources to meet the needs of our school community. The library offers access to more than 16,000 books, e-books, and audio visual materials and afford students access to an extensive periodicals collection. Through the LMC’s web page, students and faculty are able to electronically access library materials from school and home.
The LMC also seeks to assist students with research assignments by providing access to numerous online resources, including subscriptions to online databases. Periodical articles are available through subscriptions such as JStor, Questia, Gale’s Opposing Viewpoints, and other databases. The Encyclopedia Britannica Online, CountryWatch, and Gale’s Virtual Reference Library are other databases among the array of resources available to students and faculty.
