Highlights

New Student Applications
Are you interested in sending a sibling to Covenant Day next year? Do you have a friend or coworker who would like to apply? We are now accepting admissions applications for students who will be NEW to CDS in 2015-2016. The deadline to be considered for the first round of acceptances is January 15.

Please note that this application period is NOT re-enrollment for current CDS students; re-enrollment takes place right after Christmas. You will receive a letter from CDS at that time. This period is for students who are not currently enrolled at CDS. Applications are online at on our Student Applications page.

CDS Accreditation
Christian School International appointed an accreditation visit for Covenant Day School on September 22-24. The Site Visit Team unanimously recommended Covenant Day School to the Christian School International Accreditation Commission and AdvancED for full accreditation. The following are excerpts from the Site Visit Team’s full report:

  1. The Site Visit Team found a Christ-honoring sense of unity and cooperation throughout the school leadership, administration, faculty and staff. CDS, under the leadership of Mark Davis and the Trustees, demonstrate an excellent environment of both delegation and cooperation.
  2. The Site Visit Team was struck by the congenial atmosphere at CDS. Among faculty and staff, between faculty and parents, and between students and adults, the sense of cooperation, respect, and mutual encouragement was strong and plainly obvious. The team was especially struck by the fact that many employees serve in multiple roles. Where one would expect to observe signs of being overstretched, the team consistently encountered cheerfulness, energy, and joyfulness. This school community is a testimony to Jesus Christ.
  3. The Site Visit Team found the governance structure of CDS to be exemplary. Everyone was competent, enjoyed working together, and worked exceptionally well to create an environment in which the teachers and students are able to flourish. There is evidence of an excellent sense of order laying the foundation for thinking/praying ahead – strategic planning.
