Covenant Day's baseball team is through the rebuilding phase and is ready to take the next steps as a program on the rise. Coach David Houseton, who is in his eighth season at Covenant Day, thinks his team has the potential to make a deep postseason run and possibly be in the mix for a state championship, which is a team goal.
The CDS Booster Club partners with the athletic department to provide an excellent athletic experience for every student for years to come. The Booster Club plays a role in facility development and the day-to-day support of coaches and our own student athletes. All members of the Covenant Day community are invited to join! In addition, the Booster Club fosters school spirit and hosts events, including our Annual Golf Classic and Coca-Cola Christmas Classic.
Dear Covenant Day School Families,
On behalf of the Covenant Day School Booster Club, I share this message with great enthusiasm as we begin another exciting school year. With your help, we were able to meet our fundraising goals last year. The generosity of our Covenant Day families and corporate community allowed us to fund the resurfacing of the baseball field and provide renovations and new construction to the soccer shed, dressing room, and decking. We were also able to purchase all of the equipment for the new weight room, as well as a Virtamax vertical jump training system. The 2015-2016 booster club was also able to offer funding for the CDS football program's equipment needs. In addition to these larger projects, the CDS Booster Club continues to offer financial support to each and every one of our middle school and high school athletic teams for unforeseen needs they may have throughout their season.
The booster club raises money through special events such as our Coca-Cola Christmas Classic Basketball Tournament and Annual Golf Classic, donations, concession stand sales, and sales of apparel. Our largest source of funds is through memberships. Our athletes today are reaping the benefits of the work and the investment of families that came before us. Your faithful membership is what keeps our efforts thriving and allows us to be able to make true difference for our kids and their athletic experience here at CDS for today and for many years to come.
As we begin our 2016 - 2017 school year, I want to challenge our Covenant Day families to 100% participation in the booster club. Whether your family is filled with varsity athletes or you find yourself in the lower school carpool line, you are a part of our Covenant Day family.
We offer several different levels of membership for you to consider, but first you must make the decision to join. Would you consider partnering with us this year? Take this step today and become a part of the current and future success story about CDS athletics by clicking here.
