Covenant Day School CEEB Code: 342532

The Guidance Office in the high school seeks to partner with the parents and students of Covenant Day School in developing each student intellectually, spiritually, and emotionally. This is done in multiple ways. We are available for academic advising which includes, but is not limited to, discussing course selections, academic progress, and the college admission process. We also are privileged to meet with students who desire some perspective on life. We long for all students to experience the fullness of Christ and to see their lives as a reflection of God’s love, providence, and sovereignty.

It is our desire that students begin to understand their strengths and weaknesses, learn how to navigate their relationships, and explore arenas to which God may be calling them. We encourage students to challenge themselves academically, athletically, in the arena of fine arts, emotionally, and spiritually. It is such a privilege to watch this growth in our students.

We understand that the college admission process can be overwhelming. As we collaborate with students and parents in regards to life beyond Covenant Day, we seek to help students find a college or university that best fits them. Recognizing each student’s uniqueness, it is important to be reflective and communicative in order to find the right fit.

Proverbs 3: 5-7 says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.” We acknowledge that our lives are a gift; and we enjoy helping students see ways in which they can live out their lives serving others and glorifying our Lord.

As counselors, we plan to be intentional with and available to our high school students so that they have another source from which they can draw as they navigate life. Our hope is that through a relationship with God and one another, we can have an impact that glorifies Him and serves those with whom we come in contact.
