We are pleased to announce the creation of a new opportunity for parents in the CDS Lower School!
The role of "Fine Arts Parent" in each classroom will act as a communicator and liaison between the Fine Arts teachers and classroom. This parent will send out emails to the class explaining needs that may come up for the class in the Fine Arts area and help solicit volunteers when requested. For example, Fine Arts Parents may help teachers find parents who will help hang class art pieces at Art Fest, laminate Bible verses, make soup for Empty Bowls, and more! For parents with 5th graders, Fine Arts Parents will communicate needs for the spring musical production. These are just a few examples of the fun opportunities that may arise. The Fine Arts classes offered to CDS students are some of their favorites! We are excited to provide our Fine Arts teachers class specific support in the new role of Fine Arts Parent. We will begin filling these roles for each Lower School classroom immediately. Announcements
The Lower School is engaging in a physical activity time every Wednesday and Friday morning in the gym from approximately 7:50-8:05. We encourage full participation for students who are present.
Medical Authorization Form
If your student will need to take medication during the school year, please complete the Medical Authorization form and bring it to the lower school office. This applies to prescription and non-prescription drugs. You will need to leave the medication in the office where we will dispense it to your child.
