MEDIA CENTER
Welcome to the Covenant Day School Library Media Center.
The Mission of the Covenant Day School Library Media Center is to assist students in becoming independent, life-long learners. The library media program is designed to support, complement, and enhance the educational program of the school.
The Covenant Day School Library Media Center (LMC) serves students in kindergarten through twelfth grades in two separate facilities. The K-8 LMC is located on the lower school/middle school campus while students in grades 9-12 have access to the LMC in the high school building.
The LMC is dedicated to providing relevant resources to meet the needs of our school community. We provide access to over 15,000 print volumes as well as AV materials and a periodicals collection. Students, faculty, and staff are able to search for library materials electronically through Follett's Destiny software package.
The LMC also seeks to assist CDS students by providing access to numerous online resources including subscriptions to online databases and assistance with class research assignments.

As an integral part of Covenant Day School, the Library Media Center:
• selects materials that enhance, enrich, and support the curriculum and educational program of the school.
• instructs students in how to effectively access, evaluate, and use library resources
• promotes the enjoyment of literature in varying formats.
• provides an atmosphere conducive to reading, research, and studying.
